[Something has done a number on him, alright. Sheik hums his acknowledgment - a quick and quiet noise, as though brevity will lessen the sting of guilt he feels - while he carefully plops himself down against the base of Link's tree, turning his attention towards gently massaging the strained muscles around his foot.]
... Catching Ganondorf's attention is less of a concern in this place.
[He offers by way of explanation, and the excuse tastes foul upon his tongue, but it's not as though he can say anything more. So, he deflects.]
Why don't you tell me of what you have been up to in the time it has taken us to meet again? Have you attempted to make use of what they call "dreamotion" yet?
[Link joins him after a moment of hesitation to wonder if he should go retrieve his ocarina; he'd dropped it on the balcony to jump after Sheik. He decides against it and sits across from him so he's not in the ninja's personal space too much.]
Oh. Right.
[He hadn't forgotten about Ganondorf, but not having to deal with his and his minions' presence looming constantly had made him drop his guard somewhat. The weapons he arrived with are kept in working order, though, just in case.]
Me? Exploring, trying the food... [Anything new he can find. Unfortunately (?) he has yet to find a good way to keep food at home so far.] Rode aboard a boat. [The first one he's ever encountered that hasn't tried to kill him!]
I--a little. It's not very easy to understand. [Most of his usage has been passive--he thinks the songs he's been playing haven't done anything anymore, but they do affect the area in and around his treehouse just a tiny bit each time.]
[A boat? Sheik's eyebrow raises at that, but he makes no comment. Good, even if he's worryingly close to loneliness, Link's experiences with Reverein seem to have been good for the most part. He's thankful for that.]
Hm, it may be that you've not found a method suited to you yet. [He glances up at Link then, and... feels a little like he's being watched for any sudden movements, but he supposes he only has himself to blame for that.] I'd be willing to offer my perspective on the matter, if you would like to speak of your struggles with it.
